Respite care provides short-term or temporary care in an aged care home. Respite care is an option if you have been recently discharged from hospital and need some rehabilitation to recover fully before returning home or into aged care permanently.
If you are thinking about moving to Nazareth House, spending time with us in respite care is a great way for you to experience the lifestyle in our facility before making your decision. We warmly welcome and encourage our respite residents to embrace our home during their short stay with us.
When considering Respite care in our Home, an Older Persons Health (OPH) Needs Assessment placement confirmation will need to be provided to the Nazareth Care administration team. This assessment confirms Respite Care is available to you and details your Respite care requirements. You need to provide us with the period you intend receiving Respite care, so we may confirm your booking with us.
Respite residents pay a daily fee for either a premium or standard room. Respite is provided for 28 days per calendar year at no cost to the respite resident except the premium room fee.
If you would like more information, please visit our overview page, which provides the current basic daily care fee.
